Anime Studio 7 Pro

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 11, 2010, 3:01 PM

I just downloaded Anime Studio 7 Pro and it is a huge improvement from what I had before. Previously I had a stripped down entry level version of Anime Studio 6 which was Debut but that program was fun and I was anticipating the moment I could upgrade to Pro. However something better became available and that is Anime Studio 7 Pro.

I'd like to drive a point that I'm going to need to preface. I was never raised around computers, the first computer I personally owned I didn't have till I 27ish and we never had one in the house. I had always focused on more traditional art, drawing, painting, etc. and dreamed a bit about making cartoons. Of course the first computer I owned wasn't high powered, but I eventually was able to get one with a much more. Then a friend of mine that knew my interest in art and film suggested that I try Anime Studio and as I have said I bought the Debut version of Anime Studio 6 and opened the door to new elements for me to explore. My friend I would easily consider a professional he has worked with computers in art and animation many times before.

So, what does that mean? He and I are going to have different perspectives and be able to recognize different advantages to Anime Studio 7. The format and tools are easy to use and easy to understand. Take sometime to read the manual and try the tutorials and you'll understand the resources that Anime Studio has to offer. You may be tempted to jump right in to a solo project and wing it, but that will only lead to frustration and impatience with the program, but taking to the time with the manual and the tutorials and you'll quickly learn to navigate the program and on your way to making YOUR VERY OWN ORIGINAL CARTOON.

It takes little time, I might have spent an hour or two looking over the manual and trying the tutorials while I watched some of my favorite cartoons, that might be the best place to start. Watch your favorite cartoons, I was an 80's kid and would watch G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this will energize your imagination and give you insight in the concepts and elements of animating. Pause, rewind, and use slow motion and you can see simple tricks that you can use with Anime Studio 7 that allow your cartoons to have the same look and feel of those great cartoons.

If you ever feel that you have a question you can't answer or a problem you can't solve the forum named Lost Marble is filled with people that can offer an answer.
Mike Clifton and crew have created an easily accessible program to allow both beginner and professional animators the ability to create cartoon inexpensively and that is one of the best parts is the price. It's low weather your interested in simply trying out the basics or the whole program, if your a student or working part-time is affordable for any beginner.

All of what I have learned from Anime Studio 6 translates to Anime Studio 7 Pro and with many new features comes new tutorials and that is what I need to start working on next. So, check out my blog spot for more updates as I'm sure I'll have more updates on Anime Studio 7 Pro and drop by Lost Marble .com and Smith Micro . com for other tips and tricks using Anime Studio. Till next time keep animating and hope to see your creations on the net!
